"Fred Clause" the movie

Have any of you seen the Warner Brother's movie "Fred Clause"? If you haven't and don't intend on seeing this movie in the theaters; then please get it on DVD or rent it went it comes out. This moving had me rolling (laughing). This movie isn't all fun and games though. There are some family issues and romance, but also sadness along with the humor.

Vince Vaughn (Fred) is his typical talkative self throughout this movie. Do you remember all the BS he spouted in "Wedding Crashers" and "The Break-Up"? "Fred Clause" is no different. That is part of what makes Vaughn so humorous; he never shuts up. On the other hand, there are some rather poignant moments for Vaughn. Is it any wonder he is friends with a young boy? Or how about the fact that he is having 'relationship issues' with his girlfriend? This all sound very familiar for a movie that Vince Vaughn is starring; but this movie is so much more.

Aside from Vaughn, the movie also includes Rachael Weiz (his girlfriend), Paul Giamatti (Nick "Santa" Clause), Kathy Bates (Fred and Nick's mother), Ludacris (DJ Donnie), Kevin Spacey (Clyde Northcut) and many more familiar faces.

When you first start watching the movie; it looks as though the cast includes numerous 'little people' yet this is a special effects trick. Watch really closely and tell me what you see. You can view the trailer; but don't forget to go see the movie for yourself. My friend and I had some good laughs watching this movie and I think you will agree.

Oh, this movie is on our list to see this weekend. How would the kids like it? They're ages 14, 11, 8 and 6.

Liz, I am not sure about your six year old; but mine three here at home are also those ages and they would love it. Kind of depends on the eight year old too; it the eight year old will sit there; min 8 year old gets antsy.

It has a few 'suggestive' parts; but so did Shrek; so it really depends on you. No cuss words worst than damn...I don't think the 's' word came into play; can't remember to be honest. LOL Overall, I would take my kids to see it; but that is me. :) It has a good lesson about the importance of family.
