Week in Review....

Is she? Isn't she? Well, probably not right now. I will probably not get a "charity" going anytime soon. My business is starting to BOOM; and I mean BOOM in a good way. :)

I was extremely busy this week and one of the sweetest people in the world ("A", who has been my advocate)has managed to get me another county to research. This is a big deal because it is a large county. More so in population than land size; it doesn't hurt that the capitol of my state is also within this county.

So my average of 10-15 names a day to research has now, for the moment turned into 20-25 names per day. Yesterday I researched 36 names. Woohoo!!! Since I am a IC (Independent Contractor)this is great. It shows not only am I worth the risk, but the client and "A" believe in me. They see that I have a fast turn around, I am accurate and committed. What more can you ask? Can you tell I am excited. This isn't just about money, this about establishing myself as a hard working business woman. I am definitely heading into the right direction.

On a different note; I have started writing for Hubpages. My first article is on why I have chosen to study Forensic Science. I am not particularly happy with the first article, but I am sure I will get better. I think I need to put more information relevant to that field of study. If you guys could please check it out and comment, vote...etc. That would be appreciated. Make sure comment what you really think; don't be all nicey, nicey just to make me feel good. I want real, honest opinions. Thanks! Here is a little exert....

"I am similar to many who just adore the "CSI" television shows. Some of my favorites include the original "CSI", "Crossing Jordan" and of course, who can forget "Law and Order". I knew though, from the get go these are hyped. These are TV shows; with a little bit of reality mixed in; but not the other way around. Because of my interest in "the sciences", in particular Biology and Chemistry; I felt this would be an excellent road to travel."

It looks like it is going to be a beautiful day and I hope to be able to experience some of that beauty. Have fun and be safe....

Brain Drain....

So I recently went to this site bobbarama and laughed my head off. Now, now D23 don't be getting jealous; you are my "first"!

All kidding aside, I realized that I am just not writing enough about the humorous happenings in my life. I usually just post about what interests me that day, which is fine; but so much goes on in life that you just have to laugh at; why shouldn't I share. Well, I guess it is because by the time I actually have the ability to sit down and write about it, it has left my wee little mommy drained brain. Yes, I know that was redundant, but hey, it is the truth. How much brain power do I really have left at the end of the day to write about all the funnies of life? Not much, but I think I need to start making more of a concerted effort. What do you think?

I like perusing the news and trying to find all the "crazy" crap happening in the world. It is amazing how freaking ridiculous us humans really are. What's funnier is when it is happening to someone else and I am not the one acting like a complete idiot. Which, on those rare occasions, does happen.

I need some motivation today people. I need to clean up my house; which I let slide all week. Of course on the precept that I was actually working (well I did work all week, but not so much that I couldn't do my "womanly" duties--barfs profusely); when in reality I just didn't feel like lifting a finger to make my house look oh so pretty for five minutes and watch my family turn my beautiful, picture perfect home into a pig sty faster than the speed of light.

Off to cleaning I go! Wish me luck that I am able to return with some insanity left to dish out!

Ramblings.....

I named this post as such because I know more than once it is going to go off topic or stray away from what I was saying and start to not make sense. Since it has been a few days since my last post I think I will just start with this past Friday the 9th.

Friday started off pretty normal, with the exception that I knew my work was going to be a bit more tedious. I was advised to pay particular attention as it seemed the client was "testing" me to make sure the research I was handing in was 100%. No problem I thought, I make sure I cover all my bases in case there ever is a question. So that means, if I have a case I am looking up and even have an inkling that someone I see on the listed cases could be that person, but with a slightly different DOB(date of birth) or name, I double and triple check with the clerk of courts to verify if this is indeed the same individual. Nothing like having someone looking at your personal life and attributing, lets say an assault to you and you have never even been arrested for assault.

Ok, so normally I get about 3-4 pages of cases. It comes out to approximately 10 people per day. Sometimes one or two more, but rarely more. Friday was definitely the exception. I swear they saved cases up just until Friday so I would have more work; knowing I need to get it out so there are no cases left over for Monday. The clients like it when you get all the cases in by the end of the week. They don't like to wait. They are a business, so who can really blame them. Well, I ended up , after all was said and done with names and listed cases = 15 pages. Yes, 15 freaking pages. I did manage to get it done and get it done accurately with the help of some very friendly clerks. The clerks at the court houses I go too are amazing. They truly are very helpful and rarely are too busy too help me.

On a positive note; I do get paid more for all that work; so in essence it was definitely worth the trouble. Hey, it is part of the job and I like the job, so I really can't complain. Even though I whine a tad sometimes. ;)

I just realized, I didn't ramble too bad if at all. Wow, I am amazing!!!! Ok, ok, a bit overboard, but you get the point. This weekend is going pretty well. I got up at 7am Saturday, yes 7am. That is my normal time during the week so I guess my internal clock is working well.

I managed to get some house work accomplish and even play a bit on the new Battlefield 2142 booster pack called Northern Strike. You really should check it out. Quite amazing but since I haven't become accustomed to it quite yet, I am still a bit noobish. I will discuss more about this later.

'Tis Sunday, I promised pancakes this morning, so I guess I better go make them. Oh and my girls (10 and 13) are going to help make them. They are actually starting them. I figured I would take some pictures of our pancakes so you can see the "wonderful" job they do. ;) See ya in a bit!!!

Ok, here are the photos from breakfast. The first (top)are the pancakes my daughters made and the second, well, of course mommy made some too! :)
